This platform is operated by KSBM Infotech Private Limited ("KSBM", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
This policy covers three things we run: the website kundliapi.com, the KundliAPI developer API, and the Kundli mobile app on Google Play. Where a section applies to only one of them, it says so.

Your name, email address and mobile number when you register, and the one-time codes used to verify them. Accounts created with a mobile number are stored against that number; we never ask for your password over email, chat or phone.
Date, time and place of birth, and gender where you give it โ for you and for anyone whose chart you generate. This is the heart of the service: it is used to calculate charts, dashas, doshas, panchang and reports. We treat it as sensitive personal data and never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone who is not delivering the feature you asked for.
Profile photo, and โ if you use the branding features โ your logo, photograph, footer banners, awards and certificates, social links and video links. These are stored on our own servers and are shown only in the reports you generate.
If you use the business features to keep customer records, remarks and reminders, those people's details are processed by us on your instructions. You are responsible for having their consent; we act only as a processor for that data and delete it when you delete your account.
Messages, call metadata and the notes the companion feature (Vedika) keeps so it can follow your chart over time โ your daily plans, moods and reflections. Voice consultations are carried as live audio; we do not record them unless you are told so at the time.
Plan purchases and wallet top-ups are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay, and in some flows Cashfree). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or bank credentials. We keep the order reference, amount, tax split, status and timestamp.
In the mobile app: your device push token (to send you notifications), app version, device model and Android version, crash information, and which screens or features you opened. Notification permission is asked for and can be withdrawn from Android settings at any time. The camera and microphone are used only during a consultation call or when you take a profile photo, and only while that screen is open.
Request counts, timestamps, endpoints called, and the domains and IP addresses you verify against your API key, for rate limiting, billing and abuse prevention.
IP address, browser type, referring page and general location, from web server logs. The website uses browser storage for your session and language choice. The app uses local storage on your own device for the same purpose, and to keep a generated report so it does not have to be built twice; that stored report is encrypted on the device.
Our lawful bases are your consent (given when you enter details or opt in), the performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share only what a job needs, with providers who act on our instructions:
Some of these providers process data outside India. Where that happens we rely on contractual protections and transfer only what the feature requires.
The Kundli app collects the categories listed above. Data is encrypted in transit. You can request deletion of your account and data from inside the app, and from the web page linked in section 6. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
You can delete your account yourself:
Deletion removes your profile, saved birth details, generated reports and their history, branding files, customer records, companion memory, wallet balance and cart. It cannot be undone. Payment records and the deletion record described in section 5 are kept. If your account holds a live API key we will ask you to contact us first, so an integration your own users depend on is not cut off without warning.
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct or complete it, erase it, or tell you who we have shared it with. You may withdraw a consent you gave, and you may nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or are incapacitated. Write to support@kundliapi.com from your registered email; we answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, write to our Grievance Officer at support@kundliapi.com with "Grievance" in the subject, or call +91-8595440679 on a business day. If it is still unresolved you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
No system is perfect. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
The service is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from a child. If a chart is generated for a child by a parent or guardian, the adult providing the details is responsible for that consent. If you believe a child has given us data directly, write to us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect.
